Twenty five members enjoyed a great weekend away from 11th to 13th April at the Elan Valley Lodge. The Lodge provided excellent accommodation and food in a beautiful setting, as well as organising two good walks for us on Saturday and Sunday.
We had two leaders on both days which meant we could have walks of 3 different lengths on Saturday and 2 different lengths on Sunday. Both walks took us into the hills around the Elan Valley, where we enjoyed wonderful views in all directions.
The paths then descended past the the reservoirs where we could see spectacular waterfalls and interesting industrial architecture.
The weekend was so successful that we are hoping to have another trip in the not too distant future.
