Pembrokeshire Ramblers' Group was first formed in 1972, and we have 217 members. We have grown into a flourishing and friendly association of walkers and extend a warm welcome to visitors in this beautiful part of Wales .

The Pembrokeshire coast line is part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, and is also a designated area for wild life and wild flowers - a walker's paradise!  As well as the celebrated 179-mile long coastal path from Poppit Sands to Amroth, we walk the Preseli Hills and valleys, the Daucleddau Estuary and its many tributaries, passing through unique Pembrokeshire villages and countryside.

We walk every weekend, on either a Saturday or Sunday, plus some week days. The Ramblers Association promotes car sharing and so please contact the leader to share transport. Alternatively go to the start of the walk (the grid reference is given in the programme). Quite a few of our walks are on part of the coastline and where possible we try to complete circular walks .

We usually average about two miles an hour and new walkers are welcomed. We grade the walks as long, medium or short. The walk leader will be happy to discuss the terrain so that you can find a walk which suits your ability.

Our AGM is taking place on 15th November at Cafe Beca at 11.00 a.m.

The 2009 Committee positions have been filled and I hope that you can all attend.

The day consists of an interesting and fairly brief business meeting followed  by a slide show of the photographs sent for publication on the website since its inception. Lunch is then followed by an optional short walk.

Do come to support your Committee, to meet your fellow ramblers in a relaxed social setting and enjoy their company.

We are sad to announce the death of Cath Phillips, who was a regular walker with the Pembrokeshire Ramblers in the 1960’s & 70’s.

Her funeral will take place at the Crematorium on Friday 7th November at 12.15 pm.
